BENNETT, Lawrence Alexander “Larry” – suddenly on August 15th, 2022 in his 68th year. Former husband of Sandra June Bennett and longtime partner of Nancy Burton. Predeceased by his parents, the late Frederick Joseph (2018) and Donna Bernice (2004) and brother Wayne (2020). Survived by siblings Marion Noon (Paul), Jayne Barr (Ron), David (Conni) and Michael (Nancy). Held in the thoughts of many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. Larry was active in his community and owned the Hwy 37 Convenience in Tweed, ON. Larry had a kind heart and was always willing to help family and strangers alike with the same tenacity and effort he put into everything he did. Larry believed that when you become the recipient of good fortune, it is your duty to pay that forward within your community. We are proud of Larry’s legacy. Friends are invited to share their memories of Larry with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation of Saturday, August 20th, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating. Private interment of ashes: Windham Center Cemetery at a later date. In keeping with Larry’s spirit of caring for his community, the family asks that consideration for donations be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or any local community aid organization.
