Obituary
Aimee Vermeylen, 41, beloved daughter of Carell and Roy (predeceased 2016) Vermeylen passed away peacefully on August 11, 2022.
She will be dearly missed by her much loved 13-year-old son, Freddy, as well as extended family Simon Docherty, and many more friends.
Throughout her adult life she had many struggles and health challenges, but Aimee always believed and trusted in her Lord Jesus to give her inner strength to carry her through. She had a passion for cooking and putting on elaborate meals. Aimee always loved dressing up even when she was little, whether it was for holidays, events, special dates, and church. She even dressed up in the period style to go see a theatre production of “Grease”.
Aimee’s greatest joy was doing activities with Freddy – camping, hiking, riding e-scooters, going Stampeding and to Calaway Park, and often going out on an adventure in the city for the whole day.
Although our hearts are full of sorrow, our hope rests on God’s Word and promise of our future with Him. Donations can be made to Operation Christmas Child with Samaritans Purse.
A Visitation will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 Street NE) on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 6:30-8:30pm.
A Celebration of life will be held at Foothills Alliance Church (333 Edgepark Blvd NW) on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:00am.
