Catherine “Kay” Manning

Passed peacefully away at home on Friday, January 14, 2022 after a short illness. Catherine (Kay) Manning. Predeceased by her father and mother Frank and Mary (O’Reilly) Manning; her sister Veronica Wade; brothers Francis and Earl Manning; sister-in-law Angela Manning.
Leaving to mourn her partner, Robert Smith; sons Ralph Gosse (Patsy), Tony (Gerri) Gosse, Gary and Randy Gosse; her two sisters Josephine Power (Edward) and Phyllis Pottle (David, deceased); also, her ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Kay also left behind 16 nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Kay will be missed by a large circle of friends, especially those from the Basilica parish. Kay was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, plus all the charities she supported. Kay is known for her love of animals and her much kindness towards them. A special thanks to her doctor Dr. Laura Degroot who helped her through her illness.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist by invitation only. Inurnment to follow at the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Torbay.
No flowers by request, but a donation may be made in Kay’s memory to the SPCA, Beagle Paws or any other animal charity.
