ROTH: Melvin Kenneth “Ken” – passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Ken Roth of Tavistock in his 87th year.
Beloved husband of Katherine (Lebold) Roth whom he married June 29, 1957. Dear father of Keith Roth & Lisa Little of Hafford, Saskatchewan, Sherrill Roth of Columbia, Pennsylvania and the late Janelle Roth (April 22, 1989). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jeffrey & Stephanie Giagnocavo, Kristy Giagnocavo & Justin Orzechowski, Cara Giagnocavo & Cristian Stuleanic, Leanne & Daryl Lupton, Darcy & Joanna Roth, Devon Roth & Laura Drake and great grandchildren Ethan and Aiden Giagnocavo, Layna, Tianna, Selena, Vanna and Montina Lupton, Lexi, Mya and Kayson Roth. Survived by his brother Raymond & Audrey Roth of Stratford, sister Elma Yantzi of R#1 Tavistock, sisters & brothers-in-law Florence & Lorne Metzger of New Hamburg, Mary Ellen & Glenn Zehr of New Hamburg, Ruth Ann Pugh of Milverton and Howard Lebold of Stratford.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph S. & Lydia (Lichti) Roth, by brothers Mahlon & Erma Roth, Mervin & Dorothy Roth, Wilmer “Bill” Roth, sisters Edna & Milfred Bender, Ina & Lavern Bender, Doris & Andrew Yantzi, sister-in-law Audrey Lebold and brothers-in-law Elmer Yantzi and Donald Pugh.
Ken was a lifelong carpenter having retired from Yantzi Home Centre after 41 years of service. In retirement Ken kept busy by assisting the Glendinning Funeral for many years as a Funeral Directors Assistant and by also working in his shop making many woodworking projects for family and friends and was best known for his amazing talent in making Wooden Bowls. Ken took great pride in his gardens and spent countless hours with his pride and joy – his great grandchildren
Relatives and friends will be received at the Francis Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral service will be conducted at the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th Line on Tuesday August 16, 2022 at 11:00am. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
