March 9, 1929 – August 10, 2022
Adolph Peter Schulz, 93, passed away peacefully at Olds Hospital & Care Center Wednesday, August 10, 2022 after an extended stay there and at Red Deer Regional Hospital. Peter was the beloved husband of Gladys Schulz to whom he was married for over 69 years.
Peter was born March 9, 1929 near Jansen, SK, son of Natalia and Edward Schulz. He was raised near Lac Vert, SK and worked a variety of jobs and as a mechanic in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia, and Louisiana. Retirement was spent in Eckville before moving to Red Deer for the past few years. Peter loved fishing and hunting especially when Gladys was along for the fun. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and the many gatherings with family and friends.
Peter Schulz is survived by his loving wife, Gladys Schulz (Hill) of Red Deer; his children, Donald & Elaine Schulz of Red Deer, Marlene Olafson of Chemainus; Beverly & James Lee of Red Deer and Irene & Bruce Bateman of Slave Lake. He was Grandpa to 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Raymond Schulz of Turner Valley; and sister Bertha U’Ren of White Rock.
At Peter’s request no Service will be held.
The family is grateful for the care he received at Red Deer Regional Hospital Unit 32 and Olds Hospital & Care Center.
