Richard (Tim) Clifford Chowns, formerly of Tillsonburg, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Maple Manor Nursing Home at the age of 88 years. Born in Toronto and worked several years at Frankland Haulage. until his retirement. Proud and loving father of Tim Chowns (Nancy), Terry Bedford (Al), Rick Chowns (Kathy) and Ron Chowns (Gerry). Cherished grandfather of Allan Bedford, Cassandra Chowns, Peter Chowns, Stephany Chowns, Paul Bedford, Christopher Chowns, Shannah Whyte, Taylor Ward and great-grandchildren Zoey Bedford, Jordan Bedford, Lily Bedford, Jaxson Bedford, Ava Bedford, Brian Ward and Aliyah Whyte. Tim was predeceased by his parents Cecile and Clifford Chowns and brothers Robert (Bob) and Donald and his son Robert. Tim was an avid fisherman and loved feeding the birds. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. John’s United Church, 56 Victoria Street East, Alliston, ON L9R 1L5. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion in Alliston, 111 Dufferin St S, Alliston, ON L9R 1E9 directly or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Chowns family.
