Tim’s wandering spirit left his body peacefully in his sleep with his daughter Melanie at his side. Tim was predeceased by his mother Lorraine (Ashe), his father Michael John; and his much-beloved brother-in-law Touno Hiiro. Tim is lovingly and forever remembered by his daughter Melanie (Perry) George, Melanie’s children Bahige Timothy, Allyssia Lynne, Nathan Robin, and his son Chad Jeffrey whom he shared with his loving friend and lifelong companion, Karen Doyle.
Tim is survived by his loving sister Thea (Joe) Fraser and their children Amanda (Chris), Charity (Craig and their boys Bradley and Franklin), Chelsea and Jack; Tim’s brother Shaun, his wife Shelly and their son Keefer; his sister Colleen (Bob) Heitanen and their children Shanon (Dee, Jillian and Jason), Eddie (Pamela) and Cassandra; his nephew Max, his wife Amilie, and their daughters Teagan and Taylor. All of whom held a special place in Tim’s heart.
Tim was married to Laura Cole who he still loved and considered a good friend. Laura’s children Wade, Brittney, Maegan, and Roger remained near and dear to Tim as did their children to whom he was grandpa, Kennison, Karrigan, Andrew Michael, Alaina, Allie, and Arwen.
The family would like to thank the many people who Tim had the opportunity to renew connections with since retiring to Kaministiquia. He spoke often and very highly of Raija, Jari and Jessie Tornquist. Gary Thrower occupied a warm spot in Tim’s heart as a confidante with whom Tim enjoyed many a cool one. Tim often raved about his nephew Dan’s (Indianna and McGuyver) cooking skills and Dan’s meals (mostly meat) to accompany the many football games that they enjoyed together along with lots of talk and laughs. You all provide us with great comfort knowing that after working around the world for such a large part of his life, he found people with whom he chose to spend his retirement.
During his travels, Tim developed and maintained lasting friendships, and kept in touch with so many of the friends he made.
During these last eight years, Tim found a connection with nature and the immenseness of this gift the Creator has given us. Always having loved the water, particularly the magic of the Dog River, Tim developed a spiritual connection to every tree, flower, and animal and acknowledged their enduring place in our world.

The family will be holding a visitation at Blake’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, August 10th at 5 pm.
A simple graveside service will be held for Tim at Dog River Cemetery on Thursday, August 11th, at 11 am.
