Obituary of Miriam Joyce Radley
Miriam went to be with her Lord on August 4 at age 85.
Beloved wife of Ron for 62 years, loved mother of Scott Radley (Monica) and Raquel Miller (Jeffrey). Cherished grandmother of Victoria, Caleb, Lauren and Meredith. Dear sister-in-law of Heather Holmes in California. Beloved daughter of the late George and Maud Burke of Killaloe, Ontario.
Miriam graduated from the University of Toronto School of Nursing in 1958 and was a Registered Nurse for many years in both Ottawa and Toronto. She served on the board of Open Doors with Brother Andrew for 15 years. For over 25 years, Miriam travelled to Africa, Asia, Mexico, Cuba and other places throughout the world with her husband, Ron, on annual Christian mission trips. She attended Peoples Church in Toronto for many years and more recently, Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly in Waterloo.
Jesus said: “I am the Resurrection and the Life, he that lives and believes in Me shall never die.” — John 11: 25-26.
A special thanks to the incredible doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital for their professionalism and compassion.
A private family service has been held. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of the lives of both Miriam and Ron will be held on Sat., Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. at Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly (395 King St. N., Waterloo).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Open Doors with Brother Andrew may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
