Leo spent the majority of his working career at the Iron Ore Company of Canada in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. Upon retirement, Leo Returned to his New Brunswick roots and settled in the community of Trout Brook where he has earned the accolade of “Community Keeper”. Leo spent many hours along the banks of the river working at the Miramichi Northwest Lodge Fishing Camp.
Leo loved to be busy and was always available and willing to lend a helping hand; be it to help repair a car, clear a driveway or just to have a chat. He loved spending time in his garage tinkering with cars, visiting with friends and woodworking. His woodworking pieces will now be cherished keepsakes. His summer pride and joy was his garden that always yielded a rich harvest that he gladly shared with his family and his friends. Leo enjoyed listening to music especially classic country and anything with a toe tapping beat. Dancing, playing crib, enjoying a feed of lobster, cruising the open roads on his motorcycle, and watching the Blue Jays were a few of his favorite pass times. He loved a good time with his family and friends.
Leo will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 2:00pm at St James Roman Catholic Church, Sevogle with Father Dan Melanson Officiating.
