Matthew Darryl Hatzimalis lost his 4 year battle with cancer on August 2nd 2022. He was 19 years old.
Matthew was well known for his incredible drumming and passion for music and theatre. He lost himself deeply in the films he watched daily. He had a great imagination and was highly inquisitive. One of his deepest passions was window cleaning where his attention to detail and commitment to his customers was admirable.
He is survived by his father Nick, mother Sheri and three brothers Justin, Daniel and Thomas. He will be greatly missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate a monetary donation to dedicate a memorial bench in one of Matthew’s favourite parks in Richmond Hill and to Pleasantville Elementary School with the intent to setup a special memorial award his name.
