Paul and Heather Cunningham
Paul Curtis Cunningham – age 64, of Brooklyn
Corner, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late
Carroll “Bus” and Mary (MacKinnon) Cunningham. Paul had been
employed for many years with GR Saunders Ltd. He enjoyed riding horses
and Harley Davidsons and loved all animals, especially his dogs. Paul
was a veteran with the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department and will
truly be missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his
wife, Heather (Brown), Kentville; children, Hollie (Peter) Herbert,
Ottawa; Colby Daniels (Karen Kerr) Coldbrook; Kelly Smith, Greenwich;
grandchildren, Sage and Vee, Jordan and Rebecca; brother, David;
extended family and many friends and will be greatly missed by his
constant companion, Blue (the cat).
Heather Darlene Cunningham – age 74, of Kentville,
passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, in the Evergreen Home for
Special Care, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of
the late Freeman Brown and Dorothy (Misner) Brown. Heather was a
hairdresser for many years and had also been employed at
Zack’s Famous Frozen Yogurt. She was an amazing cook,
perfecting both butter tarts and tea biscuits. She was a member of
Cambridge Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer. She loved
animals and her generosity was shown by her willingness to always help
anyone in need. She is survived by children, Hollie (Peter) Herbert,
Ottawa; Colby Daniels (Karen Kerr) Coldbrook; Kelly Smith, Greenwich;
grandchildren, Sage and Vee, Jordan and Rebecca; brother-in-law,
David; extended family and many friends. Besides her parents, she was
predeceased by her infant daughter, Christie (1973) and her husband,
Paul (April, 2022). Cremation has taken place and there will be no
visitation, by request.
A celebration of life for both Paul and Heather will be held
at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022 in the Cambridge Baptist Church,
Reverend Joe Gosbee and Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating.
For those unable to attend, a webcast of the service will be available
at that time. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer
Society.
