Obituary of Annamae Benoit
Peacefully at her home in Stratford on Sunday, July 31, 2022 of Annamae Benoit (McCarthy), age 80 years.
Beloved wife of 59 years to Benny. Loving mother of Michelle MacPhail (Jim), Valerie MacRae (Terry MacKinnon) and John (Leanne). Cherished grandmother of Jason and Meghan MacPhail, Ryan MacRae, Jerica Doiron, Chloe and Brady Benoit. Great-grandmother of Oliver MacPhail. Eldest sister of Lena Moore, Doreen Knox, Jean Mitchell, Leo McCarthy, Mary Shea, Gloria Chandler, Eileen Trainor, Susan Kelly and Joseph McCarthy. Predeceased by her parents Joe and Bertha McCarthy, infant son Jason, siblings Donna Trainor and Jimmy McCarthy, son-in-law Rob MacRae and several other family members.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. On Wednesday at 10:30 am a funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption, Stratford PEI followed by interment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of PEI.
