The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his family at
home in Summerside on Friday, July 29, 2022 of William
“Bill” George Dean aged 76, beloved husband and best friend
of 51 years to Pat (Ross) Dean. Bill was born in Halifax, son of the
late George and Martha (Gallant) Dean and his chosen parents the late
Jack and Eleanor Clements.
Loving father to Shelley (Gavin), Eastern Passage, NS; Shane
(Jessica), Halifax, NS; Gregory (Tracy), Halifax, NS and Greg (Beth)
Burness, Kensington. Dear grandfather to Amy, Benjamin, Colton,
Bradley, Cameron and to his great grandchildren Cayden, Owen, Gage,
Nash and Kinsley.
Bill is also survived by his brother David (Christine) Dean,
father in law Arnold Ross and brothers and sisters in law Delbert
(Ila) Ross, Vanessa (Bill) Sheriff, Roberta (John) Bleumortier, Robert
Ross, Myrna (Tom) Boyle, Doug (Cathy) Jackman, Charles (Donna)
Jackman, Teddy (Rhea) Jackman and Trudy Ross.
Predeceased by his birth parents, chosen parents, brother
John (Shirley) Dean, mother in law Catherine Ross and brother in law
Reginald Praught.
A private celebration of Bill’s life will be held by family
and close friends. Graveside service on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at
Bideford United Cemetery at 2pm.

Society.
