It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband and father, William Francis Lush, at the age of 90 years. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents William John and Anna (nee Martin), beloved son John, infant granddaughter Suzanne, and siblings John, Mary, Donald, Edward, Douglas, Elizabeth, and Barbara.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts, his dear wife of 65 years, Lorraine (nee Fahey); children Helene, Debbie Squires (Gary), Susan Hiscock (Paul), Joanne Barnable, William (Mariève), Stephen and Eileen Esco (Paul); 18 grandchildren, Jenny, Jared, David, Bobby, Steven, Andrew, Jessica, Patrick, Michael, Jeffrey, Daniel, Matthew, Thomas, Jack, Eli, Max, William and Juliette; 10 great-grandchildren, Anna, Danielle, Lily, Sebastian, Rowan, Sloane, Lana, Jake, Jesse and Madison; his beloved sisters Patricia Green and Helen Patey; in-laws Larry Finnegan, Rosemary Fahey and Patricia Gaulton. Also, he leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention, whom he dearly loved.
Bill was a Navy Veteran, historian, baby whisperer, proud Newfoundlander, William Street corner boy, and avid reader. He had a great love of music and could pick up any instrument and sing any song. He embraced his Irish heritage and passed on his love of literature to all his family. Blessed with a large clan, Dad loved fiercely and leaves behind a legacy of strong morals and the importance of family. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
