Philipe Joseph Deveau
1941-2022
The passing of Philipe Joseph Deveau, occurred at the
Passamaquoddy Lodge on July 27, 2022. Born in Metaghan, Nova Scotia on
May 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Moise Joseph Deveau and
Elizabeth Mary (Thibodeau). Philipe is survived by his children:
Elizabeth Deveau (David) of Lincoln NB, James Deveau of St. George NB,
Johnny Deveau of Blacks Harbour NB, Timothy (Sherri) Deveau of Utopia
NB and Francis Deveau of St. Andrews NB; grandchildren: Joshua Deveau,
Jennifer Deveau, Tyler Deveau, Benjamin Deveau, Haylla Deveau,
Michelle Deveau, Kyle McLaughlin and Kameron Deveau; several
great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his
parents Phillipe was predeceased by his wife: Theresa Deveau;
grandson: Devin McLaughlin; brothers: Amedee and Joe; and
sisters: Beatrice Comeau and Edith LeBlanc.
Prior to retirement Philipe worked as a Lead Hand at Connors
Brothers for a number of years. In his free time, he loved camping out
at Lake Utopia. He was a hard worker and provided well for his family
and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements in the care of St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. There will be no
visiting. A graveside service will be held at the Stella Maris
Catholic Cemetery, Blacks Harbour NB on Friday at 2:00 pm with Father
Rolando Suplido officiating. In Philipe’s memory, donations to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
family.
