Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Audrey Joyce (Webb) Hickingbottom has passed away at home, following a three-year battle with cancer.
Audrey was born in Toronto in 1934 and was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ivy Webb. She married Donald George Hickingbottom of Toronto in 1955 and he predeceased her in 2003.
Audrey and Don had three children, Steve (Annick), Karen (Rick), and Wendy. She is also survived by her three siblings Muriel, Shirley and David, four grandchildren, Nicole (Adam), Matthew (Laura), Ben (Kelsey) and Megan (Andrew) and five great grandchildren, Brody, Breah, David, Olive and Jackson. One grandchild, Kirk, predeceased her in 2016.
Family was everything to Audrey. She was a wonderful wife, the most caring and loving mother, and loved to spoil her grand and great grandkids. Being around family was the joy of her life.
Audrey was an avid golfer and an almost 50-year member of Riverside Country Club. In 2000, she recorded her first and only hole in one at number 15 at Schalamar Creek in Lakeland, Florida.
Audrey was also an avid Blue Jays fan! Most summer weekends were spent with Wendy and Karen watching the Jays play while having Margaritas and BBQ’s.
It is difficult to sum up someone’s life who was so profoundly loved and has meant so much to you, in just a couple of paragraphs. Mom, we loved you so deeply and completely, we will miss you forever.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB. A Celebration of Her life will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday September 10th at 11am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her memory be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Audrey Joyce Hickingbottom March 17 1934 July 22 2022 (age 88)..
