Paula Dunford Kress Thursday July 21st 2022

DUNFORD, Paula Lou (nee Kress)
Peacefully at Burnbrae Gardens, Campbellford, ON, on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Paula, loving wife to John W. Dunford of Apsley. Loved mother to Holly Hoekstra (Jeff) of Marmora, Mark Dunford (Denise) of Apsley, Trevor Dunford (Sharon) of Peterborough, and Paul Dunford (Anne-Katrin) of Apsley. Beloved daughter of Carrie and Paul Kress. Dear sister to Pat Carrier (Richard) Bay Village, Ohio, and Joan Watson (David – predeceased), Jamestown, Pennsylvania. Predeceased by her parents, brothers Thomas Kress, Lee Kress, and sister Carol Kazimer (Edward). Adoring grandmother to Rebecca, Noelle, and Jeffery Hoekstra of Marmora, Sarah Ann, Leah, Gloria and Christiana Dunford of Apsley, Zackery, Jessica, Cody, Maxwell and Kianna Dunford of Apsley. Great grandmother to Caleb John and Cecilia Paula Latendre of Marmora.
Paula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She liked to shop, garden, read and do crossword puzzles. She always had a special love of Christmas and spending time with her family cooking and baking for the season. In 2016 she was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia which would eventually rob her of the ability to recognize the family she loved so dearly. She adored her grandchildren and spending time with them. She would have cherished her great-grandchildren but unfortunately, due to COVID, she only got to meet them during her final days.
A private Memorial Reception for her immediate family only will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Friday, July 29th. Condolences can be made online by visiting www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca.
