Obituary of Wayne Pearson
PEARSON, Wayne Morris (October 15, 1938 – January 12, 2022) – sleeping peacefully left this world. He was the husband of the late Helen Schauer. He is survived by his wife Mary (Doran, nee Leech). Loving father of Sherry Fournier (Todd), Christine Kinney (late Kevin). Cherished grandfather of Joshua (Mark), Jordon (Paige), Mackenzie (Peter), Maggie (Andrew), Carson (Megan) and step-father of Bonnie George (Shaun), late David Doran. Grandpa Wayne to Alysha (Matt), Natasha (Brodie), Sheara (Mitchel), Ryleigh, Cole. Lovingly remembered by 7 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Donald Pearson (Janet) and Glenn Pearson (Heather) and the late Shirley Lesway (late Willis). Fond brother-in-law of Elwin Schauer (Barb), Donald (Judy), Janet (late Bun), Joan (late Merrill), Keith (Joyce), Jim, Betty (late Joe), Doug (Saundra) and Lorna (late Bill).
Wayne was born in Peterborough. His parents moved to Pembroke when he was 2 years old, where he attended school. He continued his studies at the Ontario Forestry Ranger School learning about species of trees and the natural environment. He had a lengthy career spanning over 35 years at Stone Bathurst in Portage du Fort, Quebec as a Procurement Inspector. He really loved being outdoors and sports as a spectator or as a competitor. Wayne enjoyed golfing and was an excellent bowler, reaching near excellence with high averages and working in his workshop. Wayne was a proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather who loved his family. We will miss his love, sense of humour, one-liners and sassiness to his loved ones.
