In Loving Memory
Mr. Donald “Don” Guthrie of Delhi , passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in his 68th year. Courageous, Beloved, and Loving Husband to Leslie Guthrie (nee Lynde). Father of cherished daughters; Kelly Cowan (Dave) and Kristie Martin (AJ). A Proud Grandpa to three strapping grandsons; Cole Hughes, Lane Cowan, and Kason Martin, and granddaughter, Adalyn Martin who keeps us all in line. Don was the eldest son of the Late William Franklin Guthrie (2016) and Jacqulin Betty (Rose) Guthrie. Dearest Brother of Wilma Smith (Ted), Neil, Dwight (Linda), Jennifer Jones (Paul). He will also be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was raised on a Beef Farm in Whitby , Ontario and was a 4H and Junior Farmer Member. Don started driving truck at 17 years old. During his 48 years of trucking, he hauled feed, freight and heavy equipment. He and his family moved to Mount Elgin , Ontario in 1992 to haul cars for ACL and MCL out of Putnam , Ontario . He was a member of Audley United Church , Ajax and Junior Councillor at Camp Quin-Mo-Lac, Tweed . The very thing he loved the most was visiting with family and friends. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 30,2022 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Ted Smith officiating. A Private Family Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or your local Food Bank will be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Leslie, Kelly, Kristie, their spouses and children and to the Guthrie Family and Lynde Family who are mourning the loss of their dear Don.
