Shawn Timothy Ternan
April 1971 – January 2022
Shawn passed away peacefully Thursday, January 13, 2022, after a courageous battle with a life-limiting illness.
He leaves behind Dad and Mom of Waterloo, Tim and Linda, his brother Shelby and wife Juli and their four wonderful children, Cole, Bennett, Lyla and Celia who reside in Lucas, Texas. Fondly remembered by uncles, aunts, and cousins on both the Ternan and MacDonald sides of the family.
After graduating from high school, Shawn worked in the hospitality industry in Aurora Ontario, Grand Cayman Islands, Vancouver B.C., Dalian China and Pemberton/Whistler B.C. He excelled in his choice of career and spent most of his time in a supervisor/management role. He enjoyed many long-term acquaintances, friends and the love of travel. Shawn was a people person always up for a party, excursions to interesting parts of the world, part of the action in his work environment and loved life.
As part of his immediate family, Shawn was sympathetic and caring, had an infectious smile and
contributed in special ways to a most enjoyable family experience. He will surely be missed. Hi-de-Ho Shawn until we meet again and rest in peace.
As per Shawn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial.
