Carmelle Hébert (Grondin)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Monday, January 10, 2022, at the age of 89 years. Daughter of the late Adolphe and of the late Albertine (née Nadon) Grondin. Loving mother of Claude (Amylee), André (Suzanne), Jean-Guy (Francine), Alain and Daniel (Heather). Loving sister of Marcel (Moïna) and Ulysse (Rose Marie). Predeceased by her siblings Marie-Reine Riopel (Ubald), Rhéal (Yvette)Léo Paul (Aline), Rev. Sr. Fernande, Gérard (Jeannine), Ubald (Omerine), Rita Bastien (Florient), Jean (Monique), Rev. Sr. Clairette Grondin, Oneil (Agathe) and Lionel (Lisette). Cherished grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 9. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Carmelle was a dedicated school teacher. She enjoyed travelling with her loving husband Raymond. Gardening and playing cards with friends and grandchildren’s where some of the many pastimes she enjoyed. She will be remembered for her famous pecan pies and chocolate chow mein clusters.
Donations by cheque or online to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated. Carmelle will be cremated in Sudbury, with a celebration of life tentatively scheduled for April 16th, 2022, at the Cooperative Funeral Home in Chelmsford, Ont on the occasion of her 90th birthday.
