In loving memory of
Frederick George Fogarty
April 30, 1951 – December 22, 2021
With great sadness the Fogarty and Menges families announce the passing of Frederick George Fogarty (Fred), on December 22, 2021 at his home in Quesnel, British Columbia, at the age of 70 years.
Fred was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia to John Fogarty and Dorothy Hoare (previously Fogarty, nee Boutilier) on April 30, 1951, the second oldest of 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Fred started work as a teenager at Clairtone Sound Corporation in Stellarton, Nova Scotia before moving to Toronto, Ontario to work for Columbia Records. Fred moved to Jasper, Alberta in his early 20’s to work in the tourism industry, where he met his wife, Loretta. After moving to Quesnel and getting married in 1978, Fred was self-employed working in the mining industry and developing the forest on their quarter section of land into a beautiful woodland. Fred enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and wildlife viewing.
Frederick is survived by his wife Loretta (nee Menges), his mother Dorothy Hoare, his siblings John, Clarence, David, William, Robert, Catherine, Patricia and Father Alan Fogarty SJ, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Frederick is preceded in death by his father John Edward Fogarty, and his brothers Reginald and Joseph Fogarty.
A celebration of life will be planned later in 2022. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to many supportive family members, friends, and the Clayton Funeral Directors. Fred will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Frederick
