It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of our loving mother in her home in Val Caron, Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Darling wife of the late Clifford “Cliff” Johnston (1979). Daughter of the late Auguste and of the late Justine (née St-Germain) Bourassa. Devoted mother of Lealand (Nicky) of Sudbury, Daniel (Gloria), late Raymond (1962), Denyse St-Onge (Jacques) (late Mark Newton), Michel (Jody) all of Val Caron and stepmother of Sheila Pleasance. Forever cherished by her grandchildren Tammy, Pamela, Julie, Christopher, Darcy, Donna-Marie, Darleen, Christopher, Trevor, Stephanie, Matthew, Joël, Sydney, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Dear sister of Marcelle and Huguette. Predeceased by her siblings Rejane, Jean-Marc, Lorraine and Guy. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Yolande was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Moose Lodge and the Women’s Army Corps. Mom contributed Immeasurable hours to various charities and knitted sweaters for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Neo-natal unit. Mom loved people. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Friday, July 22, 2022 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Thérèse. Interment at Lasalle R.C. Cemetery to follow Monday morning at 10 a.m. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice will be appreciated.
