Anne Ewaskiw 2022

EWASKIW, Anne
May 4, 1919 – July 18, 2022
With great sadness, and heavy hearts we announce an Icon has left us to be with her Lord. Anne Ewaskiw nee Muzechka beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend left us at the age of 103 years, on July 18, 2022.
She is leaving behind her loving son Marshall, along with many caring nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Anne will be joining her beloved husband Wasyl Harry (Bill); beloved son Norman; her parents Mike and Mary Muzechka; her brothers Nick, Bill and Paul; sister Cassie; her in-laws Hryhori and Maria Ewaskiw.
Anne was a loving wife, mother, aunt and friend. She loved when family or friends had time to stop for coffee. She had such a zest for life that a person could not help but absorb some of that zest during the visit. Anne loved gardening and excelled at growing the most abundant flowers. The town of Vegreville honoured her with a certificate for the most outstanding flower garden. She was a meticulous person and took great pride in her home and garden. She was an active member of St. Demetro’s Ukrainian Catholic Parish for many years before moving to Vegreville. She was also an active member of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Vegreville.
A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (5705 – 51 St.) in Vegreville, Alberta where a Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Anne Ewaskiw 2022..
