Lynda Traves 1945 2022

Obituary of Lynda Traves
With immense sadness we announce the passing of Lynda Dianne Traves (nee Keeley) on July 18th, 2022, in her 78th year.
Lynda loved her life. Still so in love with Ken, her husband of 57 years, and so proud of her children Brett (Stefanie) and Tara (Ryan). Her greatest joy spending time with her grandchildren Maiya and Felix.
A passionate educator, Lynda retired as a Vice-Principal and from then on, enjoyed telling her family daily, “I’m never working again”. Lynda never had trouble filling her time.
In retirement she had great adventures travelling the world with her beloved Ken. Still, as a lifelong resident of Fort Erie, she also loved the simple pleasures of going to lunch and on local adventures with her amazing circle of friends.
Lynda appreciated the beauty in all things handmade and never failed at any art she tried. Her most recent passions being quilting and painting. She believed we all have an artist inside and that we shouldn’t be afraid to try things.
Drinking coffee, laughing, discussing the state of the world, teasing Ken, lunch dates, arts, travel, books. Lynda didn’t waste any moment of her 77 years and would want us all to keep living loud.
She is gone too soon, but no amount of time with her would have ever been enough.
Cremation has taken place.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday July 27th from 11 am until the time of service at 1 p.m.. The service will be followed by a gathering at Bridgewater Country Club, 700 Gilmore Road, Fort Erie.
