After a hard fought battle with cancer, with his family by his side, Doug suddenly passed on July 15, 2022 at 65 years of age. Cherished and loved soul mate of Pat for 38 years. Loving and proud father of Jimmy, Jeannie (Kevin), Joe (Amanda), Randy (Stacey), Crystal (Julien) and fur-baby Lilo. Beloved Papa to Mika, Tonya, Heidi, Jordan, Jaden, Jaxson, Jasmine, Colton, Nathan, Ethan, Dylan, Evan, Haley, Riley, Hunter and one more on the way. Pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Beatrice. Protective big brother of Esther Nantais (Lloyd). Beloved son-in-law of Josephine and the late George McFarland. Dear brother-in-law of Ann Cadarette. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Doug was a classic car enthusiast and restorer, a respected coach to many, and loved his Pepsi. If you didn’t find Doug in his backyard working, you could find him at a baseball diamond cheering on his grandchildren. He was a staple in his neighbourhood, helping anyone in need.
A special thank you to nurses Karen, Nicole, Dave and Dr. Jervis from WRH Ouellette Campus for their compassion and care. If you so desire, memorial donations can be made to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
Visitation on Wednesday from 10am until time of Service at 1pm at
Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
In honour of Doug, you’re welcome to bring your motorcycles and classic cars for the procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery for burial.
