It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and daughter-in-law, sister, aunt and friend to all on July 5, 2022 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Toronto on November 26, 1960 she was the daughter of the late Jean Louis Brazeau and Florence “Verna” Reigate.
Mom always put family first and was the most hard working, loving and selfless person, always putting others before herself, she always took care of everyone. She was a supporting, loyal and committed woman but most importantly remained very strong in her faith and a lifelong member of St. Agnes Parish/Parish of Saint Leonard. She was always willing to help to anyone in anyway.
Mom worked for Horyl’s over 30 years and most recently was employed as a customer service representative at the Sydney Call Centre. She was also a former Girl Guides and Sparks leader.
Ann is survived by her only child Teresa Townsend (Joey), Scotchtown, granddaughter and apple of her eye, Bryanna Townsend (aka Queenie), Scotchtown. Anyone that came in contact with Ann knew how proud she was of her daughter and granddaughter and she was also like a second mother figure to her favorite son-in-law; brother Richard Gibbs (Luella), Bradford, special sister Sharon Thornton (Ron), Oshawa, special cousin Wayne Pettipas (Victoria), Ottawa, brother-in-law Gerard (Cece), New Victoria, sister-in-law Jeannie Newman (Sam), Lingan, special lifelong friends Edna Bisson (Kevin), their daughters Joanna, Melissa, Jesica; Betty Lou Bisson (George), New Waterford, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, soulmate and love of her life for 42 years, James, (Jimmy) Doyle, father and mother in-law James and Teresa (MacIsaac) Doyle, aunt Elizabeth Tindale, brother- in-law Francis and godparents William and Sadie Marsh.
A service will be held at a later date and burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500. To send online condolences, go to: www.mclellanfuneralhome.com
