Harold MacDonald
1957-2022
Following a lengthy illness with dementia, it is with great sadness
that we announce, Harold William MacDonald of Wapske, NB, passed away
at the age of 64 at Victoria Glen Manor on Tuesday, July 12,
2022.
Harold was born in Saint John, NB, and was the son of the late Ruth
(Grant) and Grant MacDonald of Dorchester, NB.
Harold grew up in Dorchester, NB, graduated from Tantramar Regional
High School in Sackville, NB, in 1975 and was a proud member of the
8CH(PL) Militia C Squadron. He later moved to Wapske, NB, where he
raised a family, met many friends and spent years working in the
woods. He enjoyed Nascar and hockey and was a die hard Boston Bruins
fan. He also enjoyed his home on the Tobique River and the time spent
floating the river or relaxing admiring the view.
Harold will be sadly missed by his family near and far, and by the
friends he met over the years along his many journeys and remembered
for all the great memories they made.
Harold leaves behind his daughter, Jamie MacDonald (Mackenzie) and his
son, Harold Matthew MacDonald (Selina), grandchildren: Hailey, Zander,
Layla and Mariah; brothers: Grant (Debbie) MacDonald; Arthur (Beverly)
MacDonald; sisters: Debbie Ward; Susan MacDonald, as well as several
nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
We all love you and will miss the good ol’days. Rest easy.
A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at his old place, 3339
Route 390, Wapske, NB, on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 7 pm. Everyone is
welcome to attend. Burial of his ashes will be in the Dorchester Rural
Cemetery at a later date.
