BAKER, Terrence (Terry) Robert
April 15, 1950 – July 10, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Terrence (Terry) Robert Baker announce his passing on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Terry was born April 15, 1950 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to M. Lorene (Jordan) and Harold C. Baker. Terry began his banking career in 1969 with Scotiabank, retiring in 2011. The great majority of Terry’s career was in British Columbia, with brief postings in Ontario and Alberta. His pride and joy were his children, Gillian and Kurtis, and his grandchildren Chelsea, Hayden and Silas. He was extremely proud of the successes they have built in their lives. Terry and his wife Wendy enjoyed hosting dinner parties with their many friends, many memorable times with family, as well as traveling together. Terry took great joy in cooking and is considered the master cookie baker of the family. His love and knowledge of music is well known, most especially The Beatles. Ask about a particular Beatles song and he could tell you what album and what year it was released. Besides his collection of music, Terry also had a collection of Tommy Bahama dress shirts he looked very dapper in! He was well known by friends and family alike for his unending sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
Terry was predeceased by his father, Harold Baker in 1975 and his mother, Lorene Hooper in 2012. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Wendy Baker; daughter, Gillian (Dan) White of Calgary; son, Kurtis (Jenece) Baker of Stettler; his cherished grandchildren, Chelsea White, Hayden Baker and Silas Baker; and brother, James (Jim) Baker of New Zealand. A committal services will be held at a later date. The family requests no flowers please.
