Martina Reenske Kurvink “Mum, Oma, Mother, Tante” was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Sadly, she departed this world on Sunday July 10, 2022.
She was born to Albert Johannes and Maaike Beverdam on September 19, 1925 in Den Hague, Netherlands one of five children. She married John Kurvink (Pre-deceased in 2010) on July 9, 1947 and emigrated to Canada in 1953. Together they had three children, Martina (Harley), Yeni (Cec) and John (Cindy).
Martina spent her last twelve years at Crescent Gardens in Surrey where she developed talents for singing, painting and generally putting a smile on the face of everyone she met.
Martina is survived by her children, her grandchildren (Kristine, Troy, Matthew) and her great-grandchildren (Ayla, Aiden).
To Martina, family was everything and she will be missed her family and all her nieces and nephews in Ontario, Quebec and the Netherlands.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers to please make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
