Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful but unexpected passing of Justin Douglas Morton on July 10, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Saint John, NB, on November 28, 1989, to his parents, Douglas Shillington and Michelle Morton-Shillington.
Justin was a quiet guy with a good sense of humor and an intellect that would rival many. He had a brilliant mind which he applied to his schooling with St. Malachy’s High School, graduating in 2007. He was quite introverted in life, but he really came out of his shell when he would play his online games, especially Final Fantasy, which he waited for each new version of with the greatest excitement. Justin was a kind and caring person, who liked being on a computer and listening to heavy metal music while talking to his companions online. He enjoyed spending time with his family and always treated them with the utmost respect. He wasn’t a guy who let things get him down, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jordan and his special cousin, Heather Morton.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with his families wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations made to Muscular Dystrophy of Canada would be appreciated by his family.
