Earl Walter Morrisey – 88, Hilden, passed away
peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Colchester East Hants Health
Centre, Truro. Born in Brentwood, Colchester County, he was a son of
the late Charles and Frances (Boomer) Morrisey.
Not one to sit idle, Earl loved to work. In the 1950s and
1960s, he drove a pop truck. He then went to work at Andy’s
Tires and Moffatt’s Moving and Storage as a tire technician,
and then worked as a delivery driver with Brookfield Lumber from where
he retired. He did enjoy times spent at the cottage in Brule
Shore.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley
(MacCallum); children, Debbie Morrisey-Young (Harry Young), Timberlea;
Tony Morrisey (Fiancée, Michelle Graham), Delta, British
Columbia; Sandra (Doug) Benvie, Hilden; Dana Morrisey (Natalie
Kravis-Morrisey), Hilden; grandchildren, Tyler Benvie (Holley
Clements), Mathew Benvie, Mitchell Benvie, Chantelle Morrisey-Leroux
(André Leroux), Joelle Kravis-Morrisey, Rownin
Kravis-Morrisey; great grandchildren, Peyton Benvie, Kennedy Benvie,
Madden Benvie, Quinn Benvie; sister, Elsie Cassell, Fergus, Ontario;
brothers, Cecil “Chris” (Verna) Morrisey, Fredericton, New
Brunswick; Billy (Verna) Morrisey, Drummond, New Brunswick;
sister-in-law, Irene Morrisey, Riverview, New
Brunswick.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers,
Vincent (Olive) Morrisey, Bruce Morrisey.

Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed.

Thinking about each of you in your sad loss. It was easy to tell how much Earl loved his family and always kept us up to date on the “hows abouts and where abouts” of each of you.. Also his many aunts, uncles and cousins always appreciated the efforts he put forth to attend the Morrisey Family Reunions. Know you will miss him greatly.
