Obituary of Don Green
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Oak Ridges Hospice on Friday, July 8, 2022 just days after his 86th birthday. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Honey) for nearly 59 years. Cherished father of Marilyn (Mel) Tobin, Robert (Sue) Green, Nancy (David) Thompson, and the late Richard Green. Adored grandfather to Ryan, John, Shawn, Kyle, Jason, Justin, Kevin, and Dylan. Loyal brother to Jack (late Helen) Green, and brother-in-law to Don (Lorraine) Honey, and Glenda (Carl) Turner. Don was predeceased by his parents Norman and Ethel (nee Whitfield) Green, and his brother-in-law Bill (Joan) Honey. Friend to many, he will be greatly missed for his brilliant mind and mechanical skills. The family would like to thank the staff at the Port Perry Villa, and the Oak Ridges Hospice for their care and support.
The family of Don Green will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday July 12th from 6 – 8 p.m. A Private family service will be held on Don and Marjorie’s wedding anniversary, Wednesday, July 13th. Interment St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Blackstock. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, or the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry.
