Obituary
Berniece passed away peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Friday, June 30th, 2022. Born on March 28, 1932 in Derby Township, Wilda Jean Berniece Lightfoot (née Walter) of Owen Sound, was in her 91st year.
Loving mother of Greg Lightfoot (Anne), of New Hampshire, Alan Lightfoot (Barbara) and Kevin Lightfoot, both of Massachusetts. Proud grandmother of Jenna, Madison and Andrew. Berniece will be remembered by her sister-in-law, Rose Walter, of Midland and her nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by her niece Marlene Taylor (husband Randy and sons, Travis and Dylan) who was a support to her later in life. Predeceased by her parents Ivey and Charlotte Walter, her siblings, Robert Walter and Marian Weaver (Stewart) and her husband, Gordon Lightfoot.
A Memorial Service for Berniece Lightfoot will be held at a later date. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Owen Sound Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
