Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, January
12th, 2022 at his daughter Loretta and
Ed’s residence in Dunville, a loving father, grandfather,
great grandfather and friend, Denis Dray,
at the glorious age of 99 years, 8 weeks shy of his 100th birthday.
Predeceased by his wife Mary in 1982.
Left to mourn his passing are his daughters: Madonna (Ed
Leonard), Anne Marie (Bill Patterson), Loretta (Ed Stoodley), Mary
(Max Cranford), Evelyn (Paul Whitten), Cathy (Ed Mandville), Sandy
(Rod Flynn); and sons: Gerard (Denise), Brian (Trudy), Ron (Rossie)
and Dean (Dana). Also left to mourn are his 25 grandchildren, 20 great
grandchildren, his brothers Eugene and Joey; sisters Mary Jo, Helena
and Marie, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thank you to his caregiver Lindsey Boland
(“Linda”) and special angel Denise Dray.
To his daughter and son-in-laws, neighbors, Dr. Robert Power,
Dr. Colleen Kirby, Placentia Public Health staff and many others who
helped with his care over the last couple of months, a very heartful
thank you for all the love, kindness and support you have provided to
our father. You are truly angels in disguise.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home,
Placentia. Visitation to take place on Thursday from 10am to
9pm and Friday at 11am. Mass of Christian Burial to take
place 2pm on Friday, January 14, 2022. Interment to follow
at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Dunville.
