Pacita Gutkowski nee Bautista 2022

Pacita Gutkowski (nee Bautista) passed away peacefully on the evening of December 26, 2021 at Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, BC. She was 73.
Pacita was born on May 27, 1948 in Luna, La Union, Philippines. Predeceased by her husband, Adam, her father, Catalino Sr., and sibling, Catalino Jr., Pacita was the eldest of 11 children, six brothers and five sisters. She is lovingly survived by her mother, Julia, son, Nicolas, and many nephews and nieces. Pacita dearly loved her family in the Philippines and maintained a strong relationship with them throughout her life.
Pacita came to Canada in 1976. Among the many other places she worked for was the Sisters of the Cenacle until their Shaughnessy location was closed in 1998. In the same year, she then joined the Oblates of Mary Immaculate as cook and eventually retired in 2015 (17 years) following the death of her husband
The following services will be held on Thursday, January 13th, 2022 – Viewing at 9:00 am followed by Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Augustine’s Church (2028 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC).
Interment of will be held at a later date in Luna, La Union, Philippines.
