David Eugene
Johnson – 62,
Londonderry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a
son of the late Eugene and Faye (McCray) Johnson.
David graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor in
Business. He worked as a sales representative for Roundtree Chocolates
and Tremco Paints in Moncton, Atlantic Police and Security in Alberta
and then with Revenue Canada in St. John’s, Newfoundland and
finally with Immigration Canada in Halifax. Always learning, he was
proud to be currently taking an accounting course.
An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing golf, baseball
and hockey at various times throughout his life and was a loyal New
England Patriots fan. Quiet and unassuming, we know that he loved his
family and cherished the times he spent with us.
David is survived by his siblings, Heather Chase (Randy
Rutherford), Clifton; Alan Johnson (Clint Mosher), Little Dyke;
Shelley (Charles) Beaver, Sackville, New Brunswick; Lisa Crocker (Dale
Gamble), Debert; Glen (Andrea) Johnson, Londonderry; many nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Private interment will be held in Mahon Cemetery, 8480
Highway 2, Great Village. If so desired, donations in
David’s memory to The Thirsty Church in Londonderry are
welcomed.

Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
