It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Maria Giuliana (nee La Rizza) on Saturday June 25, 2022 at the age of 96, peacefully at the Mariann Home. Beloved wife of 72 years to the late Giovanni. Loving mother of Joe (Anabella) and Charlie (Gina). Nonna (Grandmother) will be lovingly remembered by Maria (Vedran), John (Anna), Davide, Maria-Rita (Matthew) and John-Nelson. Bis-Nonna (Great-Grandmother) to Briana, Keira, Joey and Jacob. Predeceased by her siblings Giuseppina, Calogero, Sarina, Calogera and Catina. In memory of our beloved mother Maria, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Visitations to be held at Marshall Funeral Home – 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill on Tuesday June 28, 2022 and Wednesday June 29, 2022 from 4-9 pm. Mass will be held on Thursday June 30th 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church – 10295 Yonge St., Richmond Hill. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery – 5830 Bathurst St., North York.
