Virgil David Anderson
passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 19, 2022 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 99 years.
Pastor Virgil is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ethelda, daughter, Beth Gaschler and family, Christopher (Holly) – Nicholas, Aaron and Parker; Trisha (Trevor) Ottenbreit – Violet and Nathan; Dawn (Shane) Callaghan – Declan and Harper, daughter, Kari (Ron) Mitchell and family, Robyn (Stu) Bender – Hailey and Addilyn; Nicole (Cole) Karst – Hadley and Lincoln; Lisa (Kyle) Petterson – Buck and Ella, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Virgil was predeceased by his parents, Østen Oscar and Fredrikke Henrietta (Möller); brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Gerhart (Helen); brother and sister-in-law, Pastor Bjarna (Dagney); brother, Adolf; brother and sister-in-law, Leo (Lorraine); son-in-law, John Gaschler; niece, Carol Mattefs; nephew, Lee; great nephew, Brion; great nephew, Andrew George.
Celebration of Life will be held July 2nd, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 4th Avenue N., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. LIvestream link will be available at the top of this page.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Lutheran World Relief (lwr.org/) or the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
