It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dearest Sean Garrett Vandervliet-Whitley, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at LHSC-Victoria Hospital. Born in Wilson, North Carolina, son of Tasha Vandervliet (Brad Ross) and Michael Whitley Jr. Mourning his loss, his soulmate Hayley. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Erik and his sister Hannah (Rowan). His grandparents Sue and Gord Vandervliet, Cathy Whitley. and his Uncle Cory Vandervliet and along with many uncles, aunts and cousins. Sean will be reunited with his grandfather Mike Whitley. We feel at peace knowing he can rest now. He wouldn’t want us wallowing over him at a funeral, so we’ll have a celebration of his life for family and friends on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 3-5 p.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. We will honor Sean’s wishes later this summer with a Viking funeral service, for his closet friends and family. In his memory, please feel free to wear your favorite jeans and Band T-shirt to his celebration.
