Obituary
“Our mother, Myrna Grace (Ball) Stoik, joined Jesus in paradise on June 16th, 2022. Our hearts are broken that she’s gone but we also celebrate that she is healed fully and completely.
Mom was kind, gentle, humble, generous and hilarious (not often on purpose). She loved everyone to a fault, and she boldly preached the gospel to anyone who would listen whether she knew them or not because she truly wanted every soul saved; the love of Jesus shone through her entire being.
Mom’s unconditional love for us was immeasurable and quite miraculous actually as one of us (no name mentioned) was a real pain in her backside – we were never left wanting or needing anything as she truly did give us her all.
Her grandchildren were what made her heart gleam with joy. She could never could get enough time with them, working long hard days and still coming to see them just for some hugs and cuddles before she went home. She shared a beautiful marriage of 24 years with her husband Perry. They both loved Jesus passionately. Travel and spending time with family and friends is what they enjoyed most.
During Mom’s younger adulthood she was quite the athlete both as a competitive fastball pitcher and bowler. We always loved going to watch her play.
She also could really give the guitar a good work over and loved singing at the top of her lungs. She bawled when Elvis died, I think for a week. Friday nights Mom spent rocking with the Gaithers on TV and I’m pretty sure the neighbours could hear it loud and clear. She certainly loved her music.
Mom is survived by; her spouse, Perry Stoik; son, Rick (Carole) Ball, daughter, Lisa (Scott) Calvin, grandchildren: Sierra (Connor) Nickel, Dallas (Camryn) Calvin, Parker Ball, and great grandchildren Blair and Crew Nickel.
Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind one to another, tender hearted forgiving one another even as God through Christ has forgiven you.”
A Celebration of Mom’s life will take place Monday, July 4 at 1:30 PM @ The Mission Springs (3705 Mission Springs Dr.) Church of God in Kelowna.
