It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of John Meronek of Smoky Lake, AB, on June 19, 2022, at the age of 88 years.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Lena; his children, Debora, Barb (Larry), grandchildren, Brittany (Justin) and Derek (Jade); extended family, Val (Harold), Brad (Kathleen), Vincent (Tara) and their families; brother, Bill (Jean); sister-in-law, Ann; and numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by daughter, Cathy; sons-in-law, Gord and Mike; parents, Sam and Helen; and siblings, Mary, George, Harry, Nick and Mike.
Funeral Rite Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pokrova Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Edwand, AB. Reverend Father Benny Ambrosie officiating, with interment to follow in Church Cemetery.
