Obituary of Ethel Vestby
Ethel peacefully passed away with family at her side at Margaret Bahen Hospice, Newmarket on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 81 years of age. Beloved wife of late Grant Vestby. Loving mom of Cheryl (Craig) Brown and Todd (Acushla) Vestby). Proud Gramma “Gma” of Derek, Jillian; Taya and Danny.
Ethel loved to watch curling, do puzzles, crochet, bake and PLAY CARDS. She especially loved to play Bridge, but did not discriminate at playing a competitive game of Euchre, Cribbage or Scrabble. She was always up for a party. In her younger years, she loved to dance with Grant, but everyone was fair game to keep the party going and the dance floor full. Ethel had many lifelong friends, and many cherished new friends who she kept in contact with faithfully. Her home and heart were always open to everyone who wanted to join her for a chat, a coffee or a glass of wine. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Thank you to our friends at Doane House Hospice, and a special thank you to her caregivers (actual angels on earth) at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket.
Private family arrangements will be held.
In lieu of flowers, in Ethel’s memory, donations may be made to the Doane House Hospice or to the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
Online condolences may be made at www.skwarchukfuneralhome.com.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ethel
