David Alexander Barbier
December 28, 1981 – January 10, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Alexander Barbier (MacIntosh) at the age of 40- AKA Dave Mac on Monday, January 10, 2022, in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. He was the son of the late Alexander MacIntosh(Father) and Carmen Barbier (Mother) and Lenard Spike (Stepfather) David survived by his pride and joys, his children Gracie and Liam and love Amy Harris. David’s best friend his rock, his sister Lisa Williams (Jamie Williams) Marcus Barbier and step siblings Adam and Cathy Spike. Uncle “D” to Kelton, Jayden and Bailee and a large span of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and special bond with Nicole and Aunt Chris.
Dave touched the lives of countless people and had a heart so big it would touch any town. He had a passion for carpentry and enjoyed his time playing baseball. He will be remembered for his laughter, great sense of humor and huge smile. David was a devoted father and spent his time dedicated to his children and one would say he would have more fun them big kid Dave; who also tried hard to keep up with his nephews at the skate park as the years passed by. He loved his music and there was not a song lyric he did not know, or a dance move he wouldn’t perform, and the party would start when he walked in. It did not matter what situation you were in, or he was; when David walked into any room his energy deflected from wall-to-wall and he would make you feel as though you would have known him your whole life and do nothing but laugh. David would be the first person to be there his friends and family with only a phone call away. David was authentic and did not know boundaries but would make your situation brighter, inappropriate, or not.
Visitations will be held Friday January 14, 2022 9am-5pm Followed by a Service at 2pm on Saturday January 15, 2022 at the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church 1215 Hammonds Plains Road, Bedford, NS.Following public health guidelines. Proof of vaccination and masks are required to attend the visitations and service. The service will be live stream and a link will be Hfx.church/barbier
