It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bobby” John Raleigh Hersey, son of Raleigh Hersey and the late Elizabeth Murphy, on January 8, 2022. Robert leaves to mourn his children, Jamie (David), William (Erika), and David (Shania), his grandchildren Emmett, Lily, Suttyn and Hatcher, his father Raleigh, his sisters Patsy (Neil), Kathy (Gavin), his brothers Tim (Genevieve), Mike (Heather) and Sean, his caring Aunt Mattie Beck, Aunt Pat Murphy, nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his brother James “Little Jimmy”. Bobby’s favourite thing to do was drive, he was a truck driver, travelling for work and worked in Alberta for a time. He was always very friendly and made friends easily along the way. He had a passion for reading, learning and loved a good game of cribbage which he has learned to play at a young age. Bobby will be greatly missed by all who knew him far and wide. Funeral for Robert will be at St-Joseph Church, Huntingdon, on Saturday May 28 at 2 p.m. The family will be at the Church at 1 p.m. to receive the condoleances. Burial at Huntingdon Saint-Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Barrie Memorial Hospital.
