Jordan, Howard Simpson –Age 86, Truro, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, NS. Born in Belmont to the late Alvin and Beatrice (Cooling) Jordan.
Howard is survived by his wife of 64 years, June (Johnston); daughter, Heather (Ben McLellan); grandchildren, Hugh McLellan (Carly), Erin (Mike MacEachern); great grandsons, Ian, Ryan and Reid; brothers, Bob (Loretta) and Rod (Sylvia).
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Belfour and Melvin.
Howard was the proud owner and president of H.S. Jordan Plumbing & Heating – a successful business for 26 years. He was a past President of the Central Shrine Club and past Master of Truro Lodge 43, a 32 Degree Scottish Rite member as well as a member of Philae Temple – Halifax, a past Senior Councillor of United Commercial Travelers #856, a retired member of the Truro Fire Brigade and one of the original founders of the Mountain Golf and Country Club.
Howard and June took pride in their growing family. They enjoyed travelling to many destinations spending 33 winters in Florida, where they made many lasting friendships.
