Obituary of Marina Maud Algeo
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marina Maud (Baikie) Algeo announces her passing on Thursday, June 9th 2022, at the Labrador Grenfell Health Center at the age of 85. She was born in Mulligan, Labrador, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Shiwak) Baikie.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Samuel Jr (Elke) of Great Falls, Montana (USA), Denise Algeo of Amherst, NS, Patty (Perry) Cabot, Sherri (Darrin) Brewer, Dawn Algeo (Paul) of Happy Valley Goose Bay and Matthew (Melissa) Algeo of Calgary, AB; sister Joan (Fred) Erickson of Alaska; brother John of Happy Valley Goose Bay; along with 19 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
Marina was pre-deceased buy her husband Samuel Sr.; daughter Celeste Algeo-Tomsen; grandson Geoffry-Bernard Algeo; great granddaughter Samantha Josephine Algeo; sister Lorna; brother Claudius; and parents Thomas and Eva.
Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Saturday June 11th , 2022 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for family and Sunday June 12th , 2022 for the public from 2:00-5:00 p.m.. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, June 13th , 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Happy Valley Goose Bay United Church with Reverend Wayne Blackwood officiating. Interment to follow at the United Church section of the Happy Valley Goose Bay Cemetery.
