Obituary of Elsie Goodhew
Elsie G. Goodhew, age 78, Terence Bay, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday June 9, 2022 at the QEII – Halifax Infirmary. Born in Terence Bay, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Irene Slaunwhite. Elsie loved playing horse shoes and ring tosses. She also loved going on long drives. She loved picking apples, berries and other fruits. She was happiest when she was with her family and friends. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and she was especially close to her sister Marian. She is survived by her children, Wanda (Dave), Cliff Jr. (Debbie), Rose (Yvan), Brenda and David (Chris) Goodhew; grandchildren Shaun (Codie), Laura (Steve), Brittany (Devan), Adam (Rachel), Megan (Simon), Damon, Max and Jeremy; great grandchild Fara-Rose; and sister Marian. Aside from her parents she is predeceased by husband Clifford; brothers Kenny, Carl, Edward, Vernie and Frank. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
