Write a Tribute
It is with profound sadness and much love that we mourn the loss of Mrs Phulmati Ram who passed away on 7 June 2022, peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren following a short illness.
She was the beloved mother and mother in law of Madhu & Narend, Akilesh & Agnes, Sneh & Anil and Abhinesh & Reena, doting aji and nani of Avineet & Meenaxshi, Raashi & Andrew, Abhinav, Abhishek, Naini, Shivani, Chandni and Ashutosh. Proud great-grandmother of Imani and Samson.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years Mr Jas Ram, her parents and 2 siblings.
Mrs Ram was born in Fiji on 24 September 1938 and migrated to Canada in 1997. She was an active member of the Ram Mandir in Surrey, the Manav Dharam Society and Fiji Seniors Association.
Amma, as she was fondly referred to by so many, will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many in the Fiji Indian community including devotees of Ram Mandir along with her family and friends in Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, US and Canada.
Mrs Ram is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 3 siblings in Australia and 5 siblings in Fiji. The love and guidance she provided to her children and grandchildren will be sadly missed.
A service for those wishing to bid their final goodbye to Mrs Ram will be held at the Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel on Monday 13 June 2022 commencing at 8:30am.
