Lessard, Geoffrey Gordon
With immense sadness we announce the passing of Gordon (Geoffrey) Lessard at Credit Valley Hospital on Saturday, June 4, 2022. He passed peacefully with family by his side.
Beloved husband to Muriel (Flett), devoted father to daughters Jennifer (Perry), Christine (Paul) and Lesley (Ted) and adoring grandfather to Joshua, Vanessa, Garrett, Davis, Rebecca and Amy. He is survived by his brother Kenn Lessard (Sandra) and predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Edith Lessard, and his sister Diane Nichols (Jim) of Timmins, Ontario.
Gord will be deeply missed by all those who knew him, and he will be remembered for his joyful spirit, laughter, light, and song. Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gordon Lessard Saturday June 4th 2022..
Death notice for the town of: Orangeville, Province: Ontario
Gord was such a loving, caring human being. He welcomed me into the tenor section at Justus and as a female tenor I really appreciated that. Made me feel at home. He also presented Norm (my husband) and I with the first ever Sam McCallion award for volunteers of the year. RIP Gord and may I send our condolences to the many friends and family during this difficult time.
I was in Gord’s first grade 6 class, and then grade 7 and 8 as well in Cochrane. He later hired me as a first year teacher. He was such a lovely man, always cheerful and fair. A life well lived I am sure. Good memories! Nelda Maguire Markham
